The Professional Regulation Commission on Thursday announces that beginning September 2012, only two subjects, General Education and Professional Education, are to be given in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in the Elementary Level.
A distinct and separate component for the subjects in the licensure examination for professional teachers in the elementary level is provided in Board Resolution No. 2012-10.
The Board for Professional Teachers stated that preschool specialization and the Special Education (SPED) specialization form part of the pedagogical content of the Professional Education component. Likewise, the content courses specialization covers the same liberal arts subjects of the General Education component.
The resolution which took effect on August 28, 2012 will be implemented in the September 30, 2012 licensure examination for teachers in various testing centers nationwide, PRC said.
