The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the target date of release of January 2014 Licensure exam for teachers (LET) or Teachers board exam results. The Commission said that announcement of the list of passers is set on Sunday, March 9, 2014.
If March 9 will be the actual date of release, results are available online either on Sunday (March 9) or the next day, Monday (March 10). The scenario may be the same with September 2013 LET of which results have been released November 22 but only posted online on November 23.
More than 80 thousand examinees took LET on Sunday, January 26, 2014. The bulk of LET takers came from the National Capital Region with an estimated 18,055 examinees, followed by Davao with 8,202, and Cagayan De Oro with 8,152.
The information regarding target release date of examination results is based on Resolution No. 2013-782 pursuant to Section 7 (d) of R.A. No. 8981, authorizing the Commission to determine and fix places and dates of examination.
Based from computation and information above, January 2014 LET results will be out in 29 or 30 working days after the exam or equivalent to 42 calendar days excluding special non-working holiday on January 31 (Chinese New Year), 6 Saturdays and 6 Sundays.
Note that the exact results date may change from the target release date depends in some circumstances that may affect such as weather conditions, PRC readiness and other factors.
Another major factor is the total number of examinees of which as observed through the years has major impact on the actual release of results. PRC Board News speculates that the total number of examinees has a direct proportion to the number of days the PRC will check and validate LET results.
In March 2013, LET results were released by PRC in just 27 working days. PRC announced that 10,310 elementary teachers out of 37,117 examinees (27.78%) and 15,223 secondary teachers out of 38,433 examinees (39.61%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.).
Meanwhile, September 2013 LET results were announced online after 40 working days. 19,384 elementary teachers out of 62,160 examinees (31.18%) and 25,755 secondary teachers out of 64,792 examinees (39.75 %) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.).
