MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Nursing (BoN) released results of June 2019 nurse licensure examination (NLE) or nursing board exam on Friday, June 21, 2019 or in twelve (12) working days after the exam. The official list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.
As announced, 5,059 out of 9,691 (52.20%) passed the exams.
PRC administered the nursing board exam on Sunday and Monday, June 2 and 3, in Manila, all regional offices nationwide (Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao) and Zamboanga.
The members of the Board of Nursing who gave the licensure examination are Glenda S. Arquiza, Chairman; Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Gloria B. Arcos, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Florence C. Cawaon and Cora A. Añonuevo, Members.
RESULTS SUMMARY FOR JUNE 2019 NLE
From July 3 to 12, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
NLE's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
NOTE: If you have 'Jr" name suffix, please add it after your FIRST NAME (i.e Eduardo Jr ) to avoid 'no matching record found' error.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The June 2019 nursing board exam has drawn basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas i.e. Fundamentals of Nursing including Professional Adjustments, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Health and Communicable Disease Nursing, Nursing of Adolescents, adults and aged and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
The examination has tested competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows:
1. Patient Care Competencies (safe and quality nursing care, communication, collaboration and teamwork, health education)
2. Empowering Competencies (legal responsibilities, ethico-moral spiritual responsibilities and personal and professional development)
3. Enabling competencies (management of resources and enviromment and records management)
4. Enhancing competencies (research and quality improvement)
NLE is composed of five (5) parts namely:
According to PRC Resolution No. 1127 series of 2018, the target release of NLE results is on Friday, June 21, 2019 or in twelve (12) working days after the exam.
The results day falls in 18 calendar days. The computed number of working days excludes 2 Saturdays and Sundays and 2 public holidays (Eid'l Fitr on June 5 and Independence Day on June 12).
In the June 2018 NLE, results were released online in nine (9) working days. A total of 4,326 out of 9,873 (43.82%) passed the tests.
In the June 2017 NLE, results were out in just eight (8) working days after the last day of exam. PRC named 3,882 out of 11,176 (34.74%) who successfully passed the exam.
