MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recognizes the top performing schools in the August 2019 Mechanical Engineer (ME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM) board exam.
PRC administered the second board exam for mechanical engineers this year on August 25 and 26 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Lucena and Tacloban.

Here's the performance of schools in the August 2019 Mechanical Engineer (ME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM) board exam in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation":
PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
In the August 2018 ME board exam, Malayan Colleges - Laguna was the top performing school with 94.74% or 54 out of 57 passed. Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) - Manila and Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) - Lucban ranked second and third, 88.08% and 87.41%, respectively.
In the September 2017 exam, University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman led the schools with 96.15% or 50 out of 52 passed the tests. It was followed by Mindanao University of Science and Technology - CDO with 95.00%.
In the September 2016 exams, UP-Diliman also dominated with 100% passing rate or 72 examinees passed the exam. Batangas State University (BatSU) - Alangilan came in second spot with 98.96%.
