UPDATE: 2,103 out of 7,685 examinees (27.36%) who completed the 2019 bar exam passed.
Due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis, SC will just release bar exam results online and will not go with the traditional way of announcement of results. Meaning, no stage and flock of people awaiting results at SC frontyard.
Bar examiners sitting en banc, led by Senior Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernabe, Committee Chairperson of the 2019 bar exam, will deliberate through online session today and they will release bar results thereafter.

11:15 am: "Supreme Court done with deliberations on the results of the 2019 Bar Exams. Please await further official announcements from the Bar Chairperson Senior Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernabe and the SC PIO," Associate Justice Associate Justice of the Supreme Court said.
9:27 am: "Please stand by for the forthcoming release of the 2019 Bar Examination results," Supreme Court says.
9:00 am: Justice Marvic Leonen's gave advice to all bar takers: "What may seem to you as a failure will only continue to be so if you allow it to diminish you as a human being rather than strive to learn from it. Do not be tempted by hate, anger or envy. Your time will come.#BarResults2019"
7:15 am : The 2019 Bar results are expected to be released between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm today. Results of previous exams were out online at noon time or between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

In the special en banc session, 'decoding of bar exam results' will be done. Decoding is the process where the SC orders the Office of the Bar Confidant to open the sealed envelopes with the names of the candidates who successfully passed the exams.
The message from Bernabe will just be uploaded at the SC website and will no longer be delivered in the Supreme Court premises.
SC will also announce details of clearance procedure, oathtaking ceremony and roll-signing.
As advised, all bar candidates who were conditionally admitted to take the 2019 bar exam and passed the exam shall not be allowed to join the oathtaking ceremony, unless they have submitted the requisite documents within the period previously given to them.
The 2019 Bar exam is composed of the following subjects: Political Law and Public International Law (15%), Labor and Social Legislation (10%), Civil Law (15%), Taxation (10%), Mercantile Law (15%), Criminal Law (10%), Remedial Law (20%) and Legal and Judicial Ethics (5%).

"In light of the government's call for social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone is advised to stay in their respective homes and check the results online. No visitors shall be allowed to enter the Supreme Court compound on said date and the list of bar passers will not be displayed in the premises," SC said.

"The Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) shall not accept petitions to take Lawyer's Oath until after the roll-signing of those who have submitted their complete documentary requirements. The OBC will issue an announcement once it is ready to accept such petitions," SC statement reads.
