PLE RESULT: October 2022 Physician board exam list of passers

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Medicine released the complete result of October 2022 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) or Physician board exam on November 9 or in six (6) working days. The full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.

PRC announced that 3,826 out of 5,958 (64.22%) successfully passed the exams. The results of examination with respect to eighteen (18) examinees were withheld as per PRC Resolution No. 1565, 1579, 1580, 1583 s.2022 and Board Resolution No.13 and 14 s.2022.

PRC administered the second regular Physician board exam this year on October 21, 22, 28 and 29 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro,Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Chairman; Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana and Dr. Joanna V. Remo, Members.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

From December 22 – 23, December 26 – 29, 2022 and January 2 – 5, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

• downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• notice of admission (for identification only)
• 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
• 2 sets of documentary stamps
• 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

COVERAGE OF EXAM

The four-day medicine board exam covered the following subjects: biochemistry, anatomy and histology, microbiology and parasitology (Day 1); physiology, legal medicine, ethics and medical jurisprudence and pathology (Day 2); pharmacology and therapeutics surgery and opthalmology, otolaryngology and rhinology and medicine (Day 3); and obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and nutrition and preventive medicine and public health (Day 4).

RELEASE OF RESULTS

Based on PRC Resolution No. 1439 s. 2021, the October 2022 Physician board exam results are target for release on Wednesday, November 9 or in six (6) working days.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the March 2022 Physician Licensure Examination, PRC released results in four (4) working days. A total of 1,427 out of 2,837 passed the exams. Linnaeus Louisse Abarrientos Cruz from University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila topped the board with 90.25%.

In the October-November 2021 PLE, results were announced by PRC in seven (7) working days. The agency named 1,677 out of 2,302 who passed the exams. Ian Gabriel Alparaque Juyad from UP-Manila aced the board with 87.50%.

In the September 2021 Physician board exams, PRC announced results in five (5) working days. A total of 1,084 out of 1,546 hurdled the exams. Maria Inez Sellado Benedicto from West Visayas State University - La Paz and Jude Philip Pozon Cebrecus from Cebu Institute of Medicine tied on highest place with 87.83%.

In the March 2021 Medical board exams, PRC released results after three (3) working days. A total of 1,234 out of 1,927 passed the series of tests. Jeremiah Dimapeles Lim from Far Eastern University (FEU)- Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation topped the board with 89.67%.
