CLE RESULT: December 2022 Criminology board exam list of passers

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Criminology released results of December 2022 Criminologist board exam or Criminology Licensure Exam (CLE) on January 19, 2023 or in thirty (30) working days from the last day of exams. The official list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.

As announced, 11,098 out of 33,489 (33.14%) passed the exams.

NOTE: The results of examination with respect to thirteen (13) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations and thirty (30) were withheld as per Board Resolution No. 02 dated January 19, 2023.

PRC conducted the Criminology board exam on December 4, 5 and 6, 2022 (Sunday to Tuesday) in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Kidapawan, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Cauayan, Antique, Dumaguete, San Jose in Occidental Mindoro and Palawan.

The members of the Board of Criminology who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Ramil G. Gabao (inhibited), Chairman; Hon. George O. Fernandez, Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz, Members.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

On March 6 - 10, March 13 - 17 and March 20 - 22, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Visit the official website of PRC (https://online.prc.gov.ph/) and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

The successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.

COVERAGE OF EXAMS

The three-day exam covered the following subjects: criminal jurisprudence, procedure and evidence and law enfocement administration, criminalistics, crime detection and investigation ; and sociology of crimes and ethics and correctional administration.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1439 s. 2021, the target release of December 2022 Criminology board exam result is on Thursday, January 19, 2023 or in 30 working days after the exam.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.

We advise examinees to monitor announcement of results from January 9, 2023 (Monday).

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the June 2022 Criminologist board exam, PRC announced results after twenty-nine (29) working days from the last day of examination. A total of 12,698 out of 41,913 hurdled the exams. Lyen Carel Togonon Garcia from University of Mindanao-Davao City aced the board with 90.70%. University of the Cordilleras was the top performing school with 94.37% passing rate or 134 out of 142 takers passed.

In the December 2021 Criminologist board exam, PRC released results in thirty-one (31) working days from the last day of examination. A total of 11,610 out of 33,983 passed the series of exams. Brenyl Doning Abilla from University of Mindanao topped the board with 90.75%. King's College of the Phils Inc. - Benguet was the top performing school with 98.97% passing rate or 96 out of 97 passed.

In the November 2019 Criminology board exams, PRC announced results in twenty-two (22) working days. A total of 19,191 out of 43,512 (44.11%) passed the exams. Fahadale Saripada Abbas from John Paul II College led the passers with 91.20%. Cavite State University topped the shools with 98.78% or 81 out of 82 passed.

In the June 2019 Crim exams, results were released after thirteen (13) working days. PRC named 7,998 out of 20,797 (38.46%) who passed the series of tests. John Bonrev Roi Villasin Rodas from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation - Lucena City topped the board with 90.50%. University of the Cordilleras was the top performing school with 100% passing rate or all 101 takers passed.
