CLE RESULT: July-August 2024 Criminology board exam list of passers

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Criminology released results of July-August 2024 Criminologist board exam or Criminology Licensure Exam (CLE) on August 22, 2024 or in 14 working days from the last day of exams. The official list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.

As announced, 11,121 out of 22,539 (49.34%) passed the exams.

The results of examination with respect to two (2) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

PRC conducted the Criminology board exam on July 31 and August 1 and 2 (Wednesday to Friday) in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, San Fernando (Pampanga), Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bohol, Cauayan (Isabela), Dumaguete, Kidapawan and Rosales (Pangasinan).

The members of the Board of Criminology who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, Chairman; Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz, Members.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Visit the official website of PRC (https://online.prc.gov.ph/) and follow instructions for initial registration.

Date of Registration: Starting September 30, 2024

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

The successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.

COVERAGE OF EXAMS

The three-day exam covered the following subjects: criminal law, jurisprudence and procedure, law enforcement administration, crime detection and investigation, forensic science, correctional administration and criminology.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1728 series of 2023 on 'Schedule of Licensure Examinations for the Year 2024', the target release of Criminologist board exam results is on Thursday, August 22, 2024 or in 14 working days after the exam.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the February 2024 Criminologist Licensure Examination, PRC released results in 22 working days from the last day of examination. A total of 15,684 out of 32,495 passed the exams. Mark Angelo Hidalgo Marquez from Notre Dame of Tacurong College topped the board with 91.30%. Tarlac State University was the top performing school with 100% passing rate or all 89 of its takers passed.

In the August 2023 Criminologist Licensure Examination, PRC released results in fourteen (14) working days from the last day of exam. A total of 5,743 out of 17,576 passed the tests. Jericson Balaba Jalagat from Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College - Marbel aced the board with 90.15%. King's College of the Phils Inc. - Benguet was the top performing school with 88.89% or 56 out of 63 passed the exams.

In the April 2023 Criminologist Licensure Exam, results were announced in sixteen (16) working days from the last day of exam. A total of 4,139 out of 13,000 passed the exams. Kenneth Olbita dela Torre from Naga College Foundation topped the board with 89.00%. Cagayan de Oro College was the top performing school with 87.06% or 74 out of 85 passed.

In the December 2022 Criminologist board exam, PRC released results in thirty (30) working days from the last day of examination. A total of 11,098 out of 33,489 hurdled the exams. Narcilisa Ponase Talipnao from University of Baguio led the passers with 91.60%. Tarlac State University topped the schools with 100% passing rate or 87 of its takers passed.
