MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Medicine released the complete result of October 2024 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) or Physician board exam on October 18 or in three (3) working days after the exam. The full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.
As announced, 3,845 out of 6,600 (58.26%) passed the exams.
PRC administered the second regular Physician board exam this year on October 5, 6, 12 and 13, 2024 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Chairman; Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana and Dr. Joanna V. Remo, Members.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow instructions for initial registration.
Date of Registration: Starting November 25, 2024
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
COVERAGE OF EXAM
The four-day medicine board exam covered the following subjects: biochemistry, anatomy and histology, microbiology and parasitology (Day 1); physiology, legal medicine, ethics and medical jurisprudence and pathology (Day 2); pharmacology and therapeutics surgery and opthalmology, otolaryngology and rhinology and medicine (Day 3); and obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and nutrition and preventive medicine and public health (Day 4).
RELEASE OF RESULTS
Based on PRC Resolution No. 1891 s. 2024, the October 2024 Physician board exam results are target for release on Thursday, October 17 or in four (4) working days.
Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.
Update: But due to the suspension of government work in the cities of Manila and Pasay on October 14 and 15, 2024 due to the opening of Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, takers may also anticipate for possible delay on the announcement of results.
PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the April 2024 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), PRC announced results in three (3) working days after the exams. A total of 1,906 out of 3,434 successfully passed the exams. Christopher Niño Duane Camay Mendoza from Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine, Inc. aced the board with 89.25%.
In the October 2023 PLE, PRC released results in seven (7) working days after the exams. A total of 4,083 out of 6,456 successfully passed the exams. Justin Riley Yap Lam from Cebu Institute of Medicine led the passers with 89.00%.
In the March 2023 Physician board exam, PRC announced results in 3 working days from the last day of examination. A total of 1,573 out of 2,887 successfully passed the exams. Aira Cassandra Suguitan Castro from Mariano Marcos State University - Batac led the passers with 89.00%.
In the October 2022 PLE, PRC released results in six (6) working days. A total of 3,826 out of 5,958 passed the exams. Justin Adriel Zent Gautier Togonon from University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila aced the board with 89.00%.
